To HIM be Glory


I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints,
to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—
that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to his power that is at work within us,
to him be glory
in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations,
for ever and ever! Amen.

Love.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

 Love never fails.

Jesus is love.
 
Jesus suffered immensely, and still suffers today when we break his heart. He shows kindness. He does not envy. He isn't arrogant or conceited. He isn't rude or selfish. He is not provoked. He thinks no evil and does not take joy in sin but in truth. He bears all things. He believes and hopes all things. He endured all things.
 
HE NEVER FAILS.
 
The only way we can truly love anyone, is through Jesus. People are broken and sinful, and are bound to disappoint. If we love them in our own strength it won't last very long. But if we can love them through Jesus, we can trust in Jesus and place our hope in Him. And when the person inevitably disappoints, we can forgive and love again through JESUS. Because He NEVER failed us, and never will. So long as we have Him, we have EVERYTHING.
